Directors Investment Group Elects New Board Members

Directors Investment Group (DIG), Abilene, TX, is proud to announce two new members of the DIG board of directors: Dr. Reagan Ramsower, Chairman and CEO of Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas, Inc. and Professor of Information Systems at Baylor University, and Drew Seale, Vice President of Sales Operations at Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company (FDLIC). Mr. Seale and Dr. Ramsower were elected to the board in April of this year and will serve as integral members, effective immediately.

“We are proud to welcome these two esteemed individuals to the board,” said Kris Seale, DIG Chairman of the Board and President and CEO of FDLIC. “At DIG, we strive to make an impact on the funeral profession, and to do that, we need leaders who constantly think about the future of the industry and how to help others succeed. Dr. Ramsower and Mr. Seale certainly fit that criteria and will be assets to our board.”

Drew Seale graduated from Baylor University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and began his employment in FDLIC’s active sales program, selling over $1 million in preneed volume in his first year with the company. Within two years, he transitioned into Sales Operations where he now serves as Vice President. “I’m extremely grateful and honored to have the opportunity to be part of such a distinguished board of directors,” said Drew. “I plan to learn everything I can from these great leaders in our industry.”

Dr. Ramsower has served 24 years in funeral home management. He was elected Chairman and CEO of Higginbotham Bros. & Co. in 1996, which became Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas, Inc. (HFHT) in 1999. HFHT now includes thirteen funeral home locations in Central Texas. He has previously served in the senior administration of Baylor University for 18 years, holding the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Dean. He’s currently the Professor of Information Systems.

“I am very honored to be asked to join the DIG board of directors,” said Ramsower. “Under Kris’ leadership, the distinguished DIG board of directors has created arguably the best place to work in America. I am excited to see what we can all accomplish together.”
