Who or what has inspired you the most?
My wife, Shelly. She is the most passionate and compassionate person I have ever known. She is a constant source of both support and challenge in my life and has been the biggest influence in who I have become as a person.
What is your favorite quote?
I have two. St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the gospel always. When necessary, use words.” And Martin Luther King Jr. said, “The time is always right to do what is right.” I love the challenge of both of those statements.
Advice you live by?
Be honest. We have a rule in my family that it’s better to be an honest loser than a liar.
