What are your passions?
I love God with all my heart, and I am fascinated by everything He created…beauty, nature, the cosmos, animals, people, and even the creepy crawly things. I used to collect toads when I was little. I would put them in my pockets and then release them inside of the house. I also love books, writing, singing, painting, playing my guitar, traveling, trying new things, learning, studying about nutrition, inspiring and encouraging others, getting things accomplished, and generally being creative.
What would you do if money was no object?
I would travel the world and see all the beautiful places. Maybe I would sit and write in European cafés for a while. When I was done being a homeless nomad, I’d probably come back to Texas and set up a home for children on a ranch with horses and all types of farm animals.
What was a life-altering experience?
In the 3rd grade, my mom made me read my first chapter book on my own. When I went to college, I followed my love of books all the way through a Master’s in English. So, thanks Mom, for making me read that book.
