DIGicon Sales System Goes Live
Thursday, August 20, 2009
The DIGiconTM Sales System, FDLIC's long-awaited, groundbreaking new contracting software program, has now officially gone live after a period of in-house development, modifications, and testing. DIGiconTM is an innovative paperless contract sales system that utilizes leading-edge software, Tablet PC technology, and the power of the Internet to deliver better, faster service to families.
"Since July 1st, we've had our focus groups testing DIGiconTM live with customers to make sure everything is running smoothly," said Terri Bannister, FDLIC's Director Corporate of Training. "And as of August 16th, DIGiconTM is open for enrollment in Texas and Minnesota, our two largest markets. In the coming months, we will continue to develop programming on a state by state basis, since contracts are state-specific. Overall, the response from agents and funeral directors has been overwhelmingly positive," Terri added.
"DIGiconTM is absolutely fabulous," stated John Paniagua, who has been heavily involved in testing the new software as a preneed counselor for Sunset Memorial Funeral Homes in El Paso Texas. "The program is easy to work with--when you are writing your contract from the computer, it is a lot easier for people to participate along with you. The customer can see and understand what you are doing, and it solidifies the contract because the customer is making the calls, and tracking with you the whole way."
"I really enjoyed using DIGiconTM for the first time," commented Paula West, preneed counselor for Rader Funeral Home in Longview Texas, who was also among the first to test the new software live. "The process is much faster and much more efficient. It really just simplifies everything. I don't have to worry about the math, or choosing the wrong product, or writing the biographical information multiple times."
Both Paula and John agreed that they got more and more comfortable and confident as they continued to use the program, and that DIGiconTM significantly cut down on the time it took to complete and process a contract. "The home office staff is phenomenal," said John. "They can immediately help iron out any issues that may come up."
"Overall, it's a lot better than using paper. For my first contract, we used an electronic check, and the contract was already processed and approved when I got home that day. It's just so much faster. I love it," added Paula.
"The system is extremely intuitive and easy to use. Even for casual computer users, DIGiconTM will look and feel familiar. You'll find your way around the program very quickly," explained Todd Carlson, FDLIC's Vice President of Sales, who has been working closely with developers to produce a sales system that is not only user-friendly but innovative and forward-looking as well. "In order to be the leading provider of services, we need to continue to develop ways to help our clients become better providers of service to their clients. DIGiconTM is a great example of this. Users really enjoy the speed, accuracy, convenience, and professionalism of the new system, and it's made the prearrangement process better for families overall."
Dawson Rodriguez, FDLIC's Chief Information Officer, says the implications of this new program are far-reaching. "This is a revolutionary application that is changing the way preneed contracts are sold," said Dawson. "DIGiconTM has effectively raised the bar. There's nothing like it in the preneed industry. With its speed, accuracy, efficiency, along with its ease of navigation, and intuitive nature, FDLIC is securely situated on the forefront of service offerings to the funeral industry."
