A Shower of Gifts for Pregnancy Resources of Abilene!

Pregnancy Resources of Abilene (PRA) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and defending the sanctity and integrity of all human life. PRA offers free community services for women including sonograms, pregnancy tests, material support, and emotional and spiritual support.
At FDLIC, Jyl Lopez (Marketing) and Karin Haynes (Accounting), host a yearly baby shower every summer in support of PRA, and this year, they were joined by Jessica May (New Business) and Diana Guerrero (New Business).
"Last year, all four of us felt called to do our Sabbatical service project at the PRA office," said Jyl Lopez. "We all saw how important each and every donation is. PRA is changing lives for the better, and this fundraiser is the least we can do to support such a worthy cause."
The girls organized a bake sale with all the profits going toward purchasing diapers, clothing, and formula for PRA. Monetary and clothing donations were also accepted, and many employees signed up for payroll deductions. "The payroll deductions are great, because the company matches the amount when it reaches $50," said Karin. "This was our best year ever for payroll deductions and for the bake sale. We raised over $1,800 for PRA. Thank you to everybody who participated!"
