The Memorial Scholarship Fund is perpetually supported by FDLIC and by the generosity of donors. Some choose to honor the memories of others with their monetary contributions.

Information about the Scholarship
For the past several years, Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company has awarded Memorial Scholarships to assist mortuary students with the expenses of attending school.
- The amount of this very generous scholarship will be determined each year based on criteria outlined in the application.
- Deadlines for applications are June 1st and January 1st. Recipients will be notified by mail on a timely basis. Applications must be accompanied by a completed letter of recommendation from a funeral service professional.
- The monies will be disbursed directly to the chosen school on a semester by semester basis as long as a certain grade point average is maintained.
- Special preference will be given to applicants referred by FDLIC client-firms
