Scholarship Fund

Several years ago, Funeral Directors Life established a Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the memories of funeral service professionals who were so instrumental in establishing and supporting our company, while making tremendous contributions to our industry. All of these gentlemen had the vision during the early days of Funeral Directors Life to make significant professional and personal sacrifices toward achieving the ultimate mission of our company, To Be the Best, Most-Respected Provider of Service to the Funeral Industry.

The Memorial Scholarship Fund is perpetually supported by Funeral Directors Life and by the generosity of donors. Some choose to honor the memories of others with their monetary contributions.

For the past several years, Funeral Directors Life has awarded Memorial Scholarships to assist mortuary students with the expenses of attending school.

  • The amount of this very generous scholarship will be determined each year based on criteria outlined in the application.

  • Deadlines for applications are June 1st and January 1st. Recipients will be notified by mail on a timely basis. Applications must be accompanied by a completed letter of recommendation from a funeral service professional.

  • The monies will be disbursed directly to the chosen school on a semester by semester basis as long as a certain grade point average is maintained.

  • Special preference will be given to applicants referred by Funeral Directors Life client-firms.

  • Certain restrictions apply.
